Deleting Your eDispatches User Account
If you no longer wish to use eDispatches and would like to delete your account, you have a few options:
1. Contact Your Account Administrator or Department:
The most common way to remove your eDispatches account is to request it through your department's eDispatches administrator. They can fully remove your phone number and associated information from your department's subscription. This is the most comprehensive method to ensure you no longer receive any notifications.
- Reach out to your department directly: Contact your fire department, EMS agency, or other organization that uses eDispatches and inform them you wish to have your account removed.
- Ask your account administrator: If you know who manages your department's eDispatches account, you can directly ask them to remove your phone number from the system.
2. Delete Your Profile Through the eDispatches App (for App Users):
If you are an eDispatches app user, you can initiate the deletion of your profile directly from within the application:
- Open the eDispatches app on your mobile device.
- Navigate to More (usually represented by three dots or lines).
- Select Account.
- Choose Edit Profile.
- Scroll down and select Delete Account.
Important Considerations After Deleting Your Account:
- Continued Notifications: Even after deleting your profile through the app, or if your department administrator has not fully removed your name and number from the department's eDispatches account, you may continue to receive text or phone call notifications. This is because the system relies on the information entered by your department's administrators.
- Full Removal is Key: To ensure you completely stop receiving notifications, it is crucial that your department's eDispatches administrators fully remove your name and phone number from their subscribed eDispatches account.
If you have any further questions or encounter issues, please contact your department's eDispatches administrator for assistance.
