Overview of key features and navigation for the eDispatches iOS application. New users should complete the First Time Account Setup Guide and ensure their iOS device is updated to the latest iOS version.
Core Features & App Navigation
1. Push Alerts & Audio Playback
Receive Push Notifications directly on your iOS device. Tapping or swiping an alert opens the media player view to play the latest recording automatically. View real-time member Responses and Visual Responses as personnel select their status.
Audio Mapping: Tap the search magnifying glass icon on the audio player screen to manually search and plot an address on the map.
2. Enhanced CAD Messages & Direct Mapping
Agencies utilizing Enhanced CAD Relay receive parsed incident details directly in the app. Call addresses automatically plot on the interactive map—tap the direction arrow to launch turn-by-turn routing from your current location.
3. Member Availability & Global Alert Toggle
Set your upcoming Availability status to forecast staffing levels before incidents occur. Use the master toggle switch to pause or resume alert notifications across single or multiple assigned departments.
4. Alert History Dashboard & Messaging
- Alerts History: Access up to 100 previous dispatches spanning back 90 days. Replay call audio, view past CAD entries, submit late responses, or launch Streaming Audio feeds.
- Messaging: Review department message logs. Authorized users can tap the + icon to send Priority Text Messages to individuals, custom groups, or the entire organization.
Personalized Notification Settings
Navigate to the app settings menu to customize your alert preferences:
- Ringtone: Select custom alert sounds for incoming push notifications.
- Tone Settings: Enable or disable specific radio tones, activate Critical Alerts (to bypass silent mode), configure Pre-Alerts, establish Blackout Schedules, and choose delivery channels (App Push, SMS, or Phone Call) per tone.
