Adding Hydrants and Points of Interest Manually

Applies To: eDispatches Mobile App Users & Map Administrators

Authorized members can manually drop pins on the interactive mobile map to create new Hydrant and Point of Interest (POI) entries for their agency.

Manually Adding Hydrants and POIs

1. Access Map View: Tap Map in the bottom navigation menu to view current map pins and existing Points of Interest added by team members. 
   
2. Select POI Type: Tap the + icon in the top corner and choose the category of POI you want to create (e.g., Hydrant, Landing Zone, Knox Box). 
    
   
3. Position Pin: Drag the icon across the map until it aligns precisely with the physical location. Tap Next in the top right corner. 
   
4. Finalize & Save Details: Enter additional descriptive notes (such as flow rates, access instructions, or building names) and tap Save to publish the new pin to your department's shared map.
