Overview of core features and navigation for the eDispatches Android application. New users should complete the First Time Account Setup Guide and ensure their Android device is running the latest OS version.

Core Features & App Navigation

1. Push Alerts & Audio Playback

Receive Android Push Alerts directly on your lock screen. Tap or interact with notifications to listen to audio or open the app directly. When opened, the media player automatically plays the latest call recording. View real-time member Responses and Visual Responses as personnel check in.

Audio Mapping Assist: Tap the magnifying glass icon in the top-right corner to manually search and plot an incident address on the map.

2. Enhanced CAD Messages & Direct Mapping

Agencies using Enhanced CAD Relay receive parsed incident details directly on one structured screen. Incident addresses automatically plot on the interactive map—tap the direction arrow to launch turn-by-turn routing from your current location.

3. Member Availability & Master Alert Toggle

Set your upcoming Availability status to forecast department staffing levels prior to calls. Use the master alert toggle to quickly enable or disable notifications across single or multiple assigned departments.

4. Alert History Dashboard & Messaging

Alerts Screen: Access up to 100 previous dispatches spanning back 90 days. Replay past call audio, review CAD details, submit late responses, or launch Streaming Audio feeds.
Messaging: Access department message history logs. Authorized personnel can tap the + icon to broadcast Priority Text Messages to individuals, custom groups, or the entire department.

Personalized Notification Settings

Navigate to app settings to customize your notification preferences:

Ringtone: Select custom notification sounds for incoming alerts.
Tone Settings: Enable or disable specific radio tones, activate Pre-Alerts, establish Blackout Schedules, and choose delivery channels (App Push, SMS, or Phone Call) per tone.
Auto Playback: Permits dispatch audio to play automatically upon notification arrival without requiring manual screen taps.
Vibrate on Alert: Toggles device vibration for incoming push notifications.
Volume Override: Configures alert playback audio to sound at a dedicated volume level independent of your device's master volume setting.
