Critical Alerts

Applies To: eDispatches iOS (iPhone) App Users (iOS 12+)

Critical Alerts allow emergency dispatch notifications to bypass the physical iPhone silence switch and Do Not Disturb settings, ensuring audible call playback at night or during silent operation.

Enabling System-Level Critical Alerts

Ensure Critical Alerts permissions are allowed in your device settings:

1. Open iPhone Settings.
2. Select Notifications.
3. Locate and tap eDispatches.
4. Toggle on Allow Critical Alerts.

Enabling Critical Alerts for Individual Tones

Manage Critical Alert delivery for specific tone assignments directly within the eDispatches app:

1. Open the eDispatches app, tap More in the bottom navigation menu, and select Settings. 
   
2. Select Alerts from the top of the General Settings menu. 
   
3. Choose the alert type to modify—either Audio Alerts or CAD Alerts. 
   
4. Select the specific tone assignment to configure. 
   
5. Tap Options to adjust tone notification preferences. 
   
6. Toggle the Critical Alerts switch to enable or disable override behavior for that tone.
