Enabling App Notifications

Applies To: eDispatches Mobile App Settings (iOS & Android)

Configure notification delivery preferences for incoming Audio Alerts, CAD Alerts, and Priority Text Messages directly within the eDispatches mobile app settings menu.

Enabling Audio & CAD App Notifications

To receive in-app push notifications for dispatched audio and CAD alerts:

1. Open the eDispatches app and navigate to Settings > Tones.
2. Select your department's specific Tone Name.
3. Ensure App Notifications is toggled to enabled.

Note: If you are still not receiving alerts after enabling this setting, verify your operating system push notification permissions for iOS or Android.

Configuring Priority Text Messages

Customize how mass messaging and department Priority Text notifications arrive on your device:

1. Navigate to Settings > Messages.
2. Select Priority Text.
3. Choose your preferred delivery mode:
   • In-App Push Notifications: Delivers messages exclusively through the eDispatches app.
   • SMS Text Messages: Sends messages as standard cellular text messages.
   • Both: Delivers both push notifications and standard SMS text messages simultaneously.
