Customizing App Tone Sounds

Applies To: eDispatches iOS & Android Mobile App Users

Customizing alert notification sounds allows responders associated with multiple departments or agencies to audibly identify specific tone activations instantly.

Customizing Tone Sounds on iOS (iPhone)

1. Navigate to Settings: Tap More in the bottom navigation menu and select Settings. 
   
2. Open Sounds Menu: Select Sounds from the Settings menu. 
   
3. Select Target Tone: Tap Tone to view assigned department tones and review currently selected alert sounds. 
   
4. Choose & Preview Sound: Select your preferred notification tone. Tapping a sound plays an immediate audio preview. 
   

Customizing Tone Sounds on Android

1. Navigate to Settings: Tap More in the bottom menu bar and select Settings. 
   
2. Open Tones Menu: Select Tones from the Settings list. 
   
3. Choose Agency Tone: Tap the specific department tone entry you wish to modify. 
   
4. Select Ringtone Field: Tap Ringtone within the tone options screen. 
   
5. Select & Confirm Sound: Tap a ringtone to preview its audio playback, then confirm your selection.
