How to Nickname Detectors

Applies To: eDispatches Account Administrators & Equipment Management

A Nickname is a custom descriptive label assigned to an eDispatches detector unit. Assigning nicknames makes it easier to identify and manage specific equipment, particularly for accounts operating multiple detectors across different stations or frequencies.

How to Assign or Edit a Detector Nickname

1. Log In: Log into your administrative account at eDispatches.com. 
   
2. Access Account Settings: Click Account in the top right corner of the screen. 
   
3. Select Detector: Click the Detectors tab and select the specific detector unit from the list on the left menu. 
   
4. Edit Nickname: Locate the detector number in the center of the screen and click the Pencil icon next to it. 
   
5. Save Changes: Type your preferred description into the field and click the Check icon to save the nickname.
