Location Permissions

Applies To: eDispatches iOS & Android App Location Permissions

To accurately display your position on the map using Visual Response, ensure location permissions for the eDispatches app are set to "Always" or "Allow all the time." eDispatches uses location data strictly for active response tracking and never shares personal location data.

Location Permission Levels

• Always / Allow all the time (Recommended): Provides optimal tracking accuracy when responding to an incident, maintaining position updates even when the screen locks or secondary apps are opened.
• Allow While Using App: Updates location only while the eDispatches application remains open and active on screen. Tracking stops if the screen turns off or another app is opened.
• Never / Deny: Disables location reporting completely. Your position will not render on the Visual Response map.

Adjusting iOS Location Permissions

1. Open device Settings. 
   
2. Scroll down and select eDispatches. 
   
3. Select Location. 
   
4. Select Always for optimal performance. 
   

Adjusting Android Location Permissions

1. Open device Settings. 
   
2. Select Apps & notifications and locate eDispatches. 
   
3. Select Permissions, then choose Location. 
   
4. Select Allow all the time.
