eDispatches Display Boards allow agencies to embed public Google Calendars to showcase department events, training schedules, and shift rosters in real time.
Step 1: Set Google Calendar Permissions to Public
Before embedding, your Google Calendar visibility permissions must be updated using a desktop web browser (permissions cannot be changed via the Google Calendar mobile app).
- Open Google Calendar on a computer.
- Click the Settings (Gear) Icon in the top-right corner and select Settings.
- Under Settings for my calendars in the left sidebar, click the target calendar name.
- Navigate to the Access permissions for events section.
- Check the box for Make available to public and click OK to confirm.

Step 2: Obtain the Calendar Embed Code
Copy the iframe embed code from Google Calendar to paste into your eDispatches Display Board URL field:
- In Google Calendar, navigate back to Settings.
- Click your calendar name under Settings for my calendars.
- Scroll down to the Integrate calendar section.
- Copy the complete
iframeHTML code displayed in the embed window. - Optionally, click Customize to adjust colors, dimensions, and views, then copy the updated HTML code.
