Pre-Alert

Applies To: eDispatches Mobile App Users & Account Administrators

eDispatches Pre-Alert sends an instant app notification as soon as tones are detected—notifying responders up to 90% faster before dispatch audio finishes recording. Once recording concludes, the standard audio notification delivers as normal.

Enabling Pre-Alert in the Mobile App

1. Open the app, tap More in the bottom navigation menu, and select Settings. 
   
2. Tap Alerts at the top of the General Settings menu. 
   
3. Choose the alert channel to modify—either Audio Alerts or CAD Alerts. 
   
4. Select the specific tone assignment you want to edit. 
   
5. Tap Options to access tone rules. 
   
6. Toggle the Pre-Alert switch to ON. 
   

Enabling Pre-Alert via the Web Portal

Account Administrators can enable Pre-Alert for individual recipients through the management dashboard:

1. Log into your eDispatches administrative account.
2. Navigate to the Recipients tab. 
   
3. Select the target recipient member profile.
4. Click the (+) icon next to the assigned tone to expand additional settings. 
   
5. Check the Enable Pre-Alert option and click Save.
