eDispatches provide you all the equipment necessary for the service to work. The equipment is all automated and requires no dispatch involved.
The equipment requires three things to work.
- Power
- Internet
- Radio Signal
Setting up your eDispatches equipment is easy. There is no keyboard or monitor required for the eDispatches equipment. We have attached the instructions and a video to this article to help your setup experience.
Setting up the Scanner
Step 1Connect antenna and power cables to the appropriate jacks. You must use the external antenna provided. Plug power cable into an electrical outlet. |
Step 2Adjust the squelch to 12 o'clock. Adjust volume to 10 o'clock. |
Step 3Verify frequency. Your dispatch frequency will vary from the picture, but the only words you should see on display are PRIVATE & HOLD SCAN. |
Step 4Have NORMAL DISPATCH do a test page. Audio should be clear and have no static. If nothing is heard or static is present, the equipment must be relocated. |
Step 5Connect one end of the audio cable to the appropriate jack on the back of the scanner. |
Setting up the Detector
Step 1Insert one end of the audio cable into the blue audio port on the back of the detector |
Step 2Connect the network cable to the network port on back of the detector. Connect the other end to your modem or router. |
Step 3Connect the detector's power connector into the AC socket. Plug the other end into an electrical outlet. |
Step 4Wait 15 minutes for system initialization. |
Step 5Have NORMAL DISPATCH do a test page. You should receive your eDispatch on your mobile device! |
