Inclement weather can impact and interrupt parts of your eDispatches service. This article will cover what to expect when your eDispatches equipment is offline and what parts of the service remain operational.
North America is subject to many naturally occurring disasters that temporarily eliminate critical infrastructure the eDispatches system relies on to deliver your notifications,. During these times, some or all of our provided services may not operate. Here is a list of our different features and how they connect from you to us:
- Audio Dispatching
- Our detector(s) are at your facility and connected on your local internet connection
- If you lose power or Internet at that facility, your audio toned-out dispatching will not work via eDispatches as our equipment can't communicate with our servers
- Cellular or WiFi connectivity is needed to receive messages
- If the cellular network is down, you will not receive messages
- Our detector(s) are at your facility and connected on your local internet connection
- Enhanced CAD Relay
- The CAD message comes directly from your dispatch center to our servers
- If your dispatch center has power and Internet these messages should be unaffected
- Cellular or WiFi connectivity is needed to receive messages
- If the cellular network is down, you will not receive messages
- The CAD message comes directly from your dispatch center to our servers
- Priority Messaging
- Sends directly from your device to our servers
- If you have cellular service or WiFi these messages should be unaffected
- Cellular or WiFi connectivity is needed to receive messages
- If the cellular network is down, you will not receive messages
- Priority Blast
- Goes directly from your device to our servers
- If you have cellular service or WiFi these messages should be unaffected
- Cellular or WiFi connectivity is needed to receive messages
- If the cellular network is down, you will not receive messages
