Android App Not Alerting
My Android is not alerting. What can I do?
Step 1: Fresh Install (Uninstall / Reinstall)
After updating or changing account settings through the eDispatches web portal or the Android device, your device's eDispatches app may require to be registered again with our GCM (Google Cloud Messaging). We suggest uninstalling and reinstalling using the following steps to get your Android app working again.
How do I Fresh Install?
Go to your device's Settings menu > Apps or Application manager (this may differ depending on your device).
Touch the eDispatches app to uninstall.
Swipe left and right until you find the Google Play Store icon.
Tap the magnifying glass in the top-right, type in "eDispatches" without the quotes.
Tap the three dots on the right side of the eDispatches app to display the install entry.
Once the app has finished downloading launch the eDispatches application.
Fresh Installing didn't resolve my issue. What else can I try?
Step 2: Make sure "Do Not Disturb" is off.
How do I make sure/turn "Do Not Disturb" off?
Settings may vary with different Android phones. First, Pull down the notification drawer on your Android device. Some phones will allow you the ability from here to turn off “Do Not Disturb”. if you do not see “Do Not Disturb” in this pull down menu, select the gear or settings button to continue.
Under Settings, locate “Sounds and notifications” and look for “Do Not Disturb” be sure to turn it off.
Step 3: Set eDispatches app to priority (Only if you prefer to use leave “Do Not Disturb” mode on)
If you use "Do Not Disturb" for other applications, you may choose to leave “Do Not Disturb” on and set eDispatches to priority so you’ll continue receiving auditory or vibration alerts for eDispatches notification, even when you are in “Do Not Disturb” mode.
How do I set eDispatches app to priority?
Settings may vary with different Android phones. First, Pull down the notification drawer on your Android device. Next, select the gear or settings button to continue.
Select “Application manager” and locate the eDispatches application.
Select “Notifications” and be sure to enable “Set as priority” is on. This will allow you to continue receiving auditory alerts for eDispatches while in “Do Not Disturb” mode.
